Bufoni was just 9 years old when she began skating.

It was her grandmother who gifted Leticia her first skateboard at the age of 11.

Bufoni grew up in the streets playing sports.

Her father was against her decision to take up skateboarding and broke her board more than once.

At the age of 14, Leticia shifted to the United States along with her older friends. The same year, Bufoni competed at her first X Games in Los Angeles in 2007.

From 2010-2013, Letícia was ranked the #1 women’s street skateboarder by the “World Cup of Skateboarding” four years in a row.

She held The Guinness Book of World Records (2017) for the “Most Wins Of The World Cup of Skateboarding.”

Bufoni became an American citizen on April 7, 2021.

She has a pet dog named Summer Bufoni.
