Netflix original Wendell & Wild brings a new wave of spooky horror to 2022 Halloween, and the Jordan Peele co-written movie has everything from a fantastic plot to a star-studded cast.

Henry Selick began working on Wendell & Wild in 2015 alongside Jordan Peele, which was based on an original story of Selick. Netflix picked up the unique stop-motion feature film in 2018 before production began. The film's production was done remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the team bringing a fantastic animation rather than computer-generated characters. Netflix revealed the movie's star-studded cast during an event in March 2022, and the film made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival the same year. Co-written alongside Jordan Peele, the film received raving reviews for its storytelling and concept.

With Netflix’s criteria to release six animated movies per year, Wendell & Wild is coming along for its release during the Halloween season for its horror storyline, which has been a niche for Jordan Peele in recent years.
